The Magical & Mystical Mia

I love the potent community of magical women on Maui that come my way. Mia & I crossed paths at a Sacred Temple and quickly connected on a deep level. She & I share common conscious world views and we have had the opportunity to create together whenever we are in each others presence. We went on an adventure with the guys of WOLFCHILD to the west side of Maui. We were part of filming a music video for the musicians and while the sun was shifting over the Olowalu jetty, I began taking some candid pictures of Mia. Her beautiful curly hair was softly blowing in the wind that afternoon. The golden light just lit her up and I asked her to sink into a yoga pose out at this point over looking the ocean. The moment was powerful and graceful just like Mia. I am forever grateful for the impromptu happenings that come my way with this project and my openness to magic. A Refreshing Cleanse

Maui Goddess Project is still here….

This lovely goddess Kira had been patiently waiting for our session to happen as it had been postponed due to two hurricane scares and children becoming sick. It is the reality that we deal with as life continues to unfold all around us. The morning that we finally were able to go into Iao Valley was the most beautiful day the island had seen in a long time. It was as if the universe was giving us a gift for our patience.

Kira and I hiked back into the sunlit valley connecting on many levels. She is an amazing dancer and yoga teacher as well as a mama. We came upon a tree that was next to a small gazing pond and we began to honor that place and sink into it. I captured Kira making offerings and prayers to our surroundings. She gracefully offered yoga and cleansed in the crystal clear waters of Iao Valley.

It was such a magical time. I joined her in a refreshing dip and remembered just how blessed I am to have the opportunity to create with goddesses week to week.

Thank you Kira for all that you do and all that you are.

Alignment Leads to Bliss

Naima and I have been talking about doing a photo shoot for over a year. Life kept us busy and we finally came together to do it through Maui Goddess Project. I was so amazed by her many gifts and talents including massage, yoga, jewelry making and the beginnings of her life coaching offerings. We connected on so many levels and it was with ease & grace that we walked through the Rainbow Eucalyptus Forest followed by a wonderful trek up to a hidden waterfall. She drummed to the rhythm of the stream and stretched with strength as the waterfall fell behind her. I felt as if I was watching Cleopatra practice yoga in one of the most beautiful settings on the planet. The forest shined this beautiful angelic light on her as she danced in the trees. It is moments like this that remind me just how wonderful life is. Thank you Naima for showing me who you are. I am truly blessed having you a part of this project and a part of my life.

Let Us Always Remember to Play

I remember the first time I met Tanya at a preschool meeting thinking she had a sweet yet shy smile. We shared a bit about our children and she drifted in and out of the school yard quiet and reserved. It was so wonderful to get the opportunity to have her participate in the Maui Goddess Project years later. I was very excited to support her in all that she is doing. She has been offering Yoga classes in Haiku while educating folks on the wonderful Purium products and their benefits. We shared an amazing Green Drink Smoothie she made and I have to admit it was very light and delicious. This session was so great because I really got to know the funny, silly and lighthearted side of Tanya I had never known before. We giggled a bunch as we tripped over loose rocks getting photos and she had hilarious funny faces she made at the camera. The day was very joyful and it opened both of us up. I have to thank her for allowing me to see this side of her as it reminded me to be playful and light in all that I do.
