Embrace your Human~ness

This beautiful goddess Joy & I have been waiting awhile for the right time for this Maui Goddess Project Session. Months and months have passed since our initial conversation and shortly after the powerful Scorpio New Moon, we met at the forests edge in Makawao. The sun was gently shining and there was a peace about the woods. When I met Joy, we began talking about her intentions for the session and she expressed that she was simply in the flow. I was feeling the same way and just as I sat her under a sunlight ray  peeking through the trees, another Goddess that she knew appeared. Phoebe was having a morning run also processing the New Moon and stopped to join us for a bit. These are the moments when I just relish in the magic of Maui Goddess Project. Both women sat under the golden light giving one another encouragement, love, understanding that was so incredibly powerful and necessary in that moment. We all bonded and I took photos showing the authentic sisterhood that these two goddesses shared so naturally. Phoebe left and Joy & I continued deeper into the forest. We discovered that we are both on the path of fully accepting our souls choice to come to the Earth, be a part of the human experience and go through all the lessons that come with that choice. It isn’t easy at all… It seems easy when we try to think beyond our choices to be here in our form on the planet and yet the beauty is living fully and being a part of it all. As we left the forest, I am sure that Joy & I both came out changed women… women ready to support one another, accept our paths and enjoy life to its fullest.

The Journey of Seeking

This is the beautiful Jeannine who approached me about participating in the Maui Goddess Project as a means to honor the Four Elements. She has been on a journey of self discovery and wanted to incorporate her heritage as well as the message of her company, The Seeking Root. We decided to walk through the Waihou Springs Reserve and enjoyed the trees, fallen leaves and sunlight that would peek through on occasion. It was peaceful and we connected over shamanism and listening to our intuition. To find out more about what services she offers check out The Seeking Root at http://www.theseekingroot.com

Thank you Jeannine for opening your heart and making the photo shoot very creative.

Nevada City Gem Rising

I was completely honored to have Holly join in and support Maui Goddess Project while I was visiting Nevada City, CA this summer. She is an amazing dancer and is really on track to be a world changer. We bonded over our love for dance and we had great conversations around consciousness, awareness & staying true to our calling. We decided to literally dance together through our session and the moments were so beautiful. The sun glowed upon us and she truly shined. Thank you Holly for your loving support of this project and I will be looking forward to seeing all that you accomplish in this lifetime.

Calling in the Queen’s Love

It was so special to get a day with my dear friend Rachel who was visiting us from Oakland, California. She is an amazing photographer as well and she was more than willing to support the Maui Goddess Project by being my goddess for the day. I wanted to take her somewhere off the beaten path so I made a connection or two and we found ourselves at the Queen’s Pools. The water was rushing a bit as we skirted along the side of what used to be a more gently flowing stream. The energy was strong but the pools and waterfalls were definitely fit for a Queen. Rachel glowed in the jungle light and her adventurous spirit was a perfect fit for the trek we did together. We are blessed to have her in our lives and her radiance shined through the photos that day.

I honor the Goddess in You Rachel….

She is One with All

The Maui Goddess Project brings wonderful women into my life and it also gives me a chance to honor those who have been there watching me birth this from its beginning. Winsome is one of these amazing women who embodies so much vibrant energy around everything she does. She is such an inspiration and I got the opportunity to hang out with her on the farm she works on capturing the beauty she has created there. She is a huge supporter of Korean Natural Farming techniques where she makes her own “teas” that feed the plants as well as creating her own inoculated soils. Her garden is very healthy and diverse with yummy kale and flowers sprinkled around. I checked out the Tiny House she helped to build out of all recycled materials. We said hello to her horse friend down the road and ended to session with a little BowSpring Yoga. I mean…WoW! What a gift to the universe this girl is. We are also putting imagery together for a 13 Moons Calendar so keep your eyes peeled for that. Thank you Winsome for being a part of my life and truly doing the work to help the community, the island and Mother Earth.

The Sacred Waters

Entering into Iao Valley is like stepping into the birthplace of the island. Yako and I knew we would exchange our energy in the sacred waters there for her Goddess Session. We found a place to go upstream and as soon as we reached the river, I saw that this place was Yako’s home. Her beauty began to emerge with every step and once she cleansed under the waterfall her youthful nature came through. There were many times that I stopped and admired how much the sacred waters activated her and transformed our energy. Yako and I came out changed, empowered women. Thank you Yako for the opportunity to capture your essence and youthful beauty within.

I honor the Goddess in you Yako

With a Djembe in Her Hand

The beauty of this project is seeing a woman go from her daily role and transform into a whole different woman right before my eyes. This is Angela and we have had the sweetest mama friendship one could ask for. Our daughter’s brought us together and we usually catch up quickly during play dates and early morning drop offs. I was so honored to offer the Goddess Session to her and witnessed this other amazing story she holds in her heart. With the winds of Kahikinui in her hair and a djembe drum in her hands, the way she held herself in front of me was that of a medicine woman… here to heal with her hands and the drum beat she holds in her heart. She danced hula in the soft grasses as they swayed together and I was so blessed to capture this essence of her.

I honor the Goddess in you Angela ~ Much Aloha Desiree

She Embodies it All

I see Diana at our children’s school almost everyday during drop off and one sunny morning we talked about the Maui Goddess Project. She lit up with excitement as I described getting dressed up in my “Goddess Closet” and going out into nature and capturing her essence.  She already has so much to offer as she has studied Yoga, Ayurvedic Healing and Kitchen Medicine. We went on a journey together into the woods and down into a dried up river with a cave. She chanted and cleansed crystals. She played in the trees and called in Lakshmi. We adorned her in a few different clothing items and headpieces. It was pure magic and I was so inspired to continue this project. She can be reached at theyogaplayhouse@yahoo.com if you are interested in any of her cleanses. I am looking forward to mine in the Spring. ~I honor the Goddess in You Diana

Forest and Fire

Working with different elements truly draws us to a place away from our busy minds and lives. Emily Aiyana and I fire dance together and we went to a wooded area to bring out the power she has inside. It has been such a joy to watch her flourish in her dance and I am honored to call her a soul sister. ~ I honor the Goddess in You Emily Aiyana
